In 2021, Akara trialled cleaning robots at Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore, followed by a two-year trial at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in their endoscopy unit. Now, Akara has partnered with Friarage Hospital to deploy two of its decontamination robots, designed to navigate and clean clinical rooms autonomously.
