Samsung Revives A-Series With Galaxy A07 5G In Myanmar Market

The Samsung Galaxy A07 5G has emerged in the market, quietly making its presence known in the Myanmar region. This new addition to the company’s entry-level A-series marks a significant development, especially considering that it revives the A7x series, which has been absent from the lineup for quite some time.
Samsung is offering long software support with this device, promising six major Android version updates and ongoing security patches. The promise of extended software support is a key selling point for many consumers who prefer devices that receive regular updates and security fixes for an extended period.
The Galaxy A07 5G boasts several notable features that set it apart from its predecessors in the series. On the front, the device sports a 6.7-inch PLS LCD display with a waterdrop notch design, which has become a staple of Samsung’s budget offerings. However, this design may feel somewhat dated by the time the phone launches, as newer designs and displays are becoming increasingly popular.
Powering the phone is a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The latter option also comes with expandable storage up to 2TB via microSD card slots, providing users with more flexibility in terms of data storage.
The battery life on the Galaxy A07 5G is substantial, with a large 6000mAh capacity that should provide all-day power for most users. Additionally, the phone features IP54-rated dust and water resistance, ensuring it can withstand minor exposure to liquids and solid particles.
When it comes to cameras, the device has a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, paired with a 2-megapixel depth sensor for enhanced photography capabilities. The front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter that should provide decent image quality. Video recording tops out at 1080p at 30fps.
Physically, the Galaxy A07 5G has a compact design, measuring 167.4 x 77.4 x 8.2mm and weighing in at 199 grams. Samsung offers two variants: 4GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at ₹5,499 (~USD 176), and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at ₹5,999 (~USD 193). The phone is available in Light Violet and Black colors.
Samsung’s A-series typically sees a predictable refresh every year. For instance, the Galaxy A56 from 2025 is expected to be succeeded by the A57 in 2026. However, it seems that Samsung has been working on reviving its A7x series, which last saw significant development with the Galaxy A73 in 2022.
Recently, a new device surfaced on Geekbench under the model number SM-A776B, strongly suggesting that this could be the long-awaited Galaxy A77. The listing reveals a powerful Exynos chipset with a GPU from its flagship Exynos 2400 chip. This SoC boasts three high-performance cores clocked at 2.78GHz, three mid-range cores running at 2.30GHz, and four efficiency cores at 1.82GHz.
The Galaxy A77 features 8GB of RAM and is currently running Android 16. Geekbench scores for the device show impressive performance, with 1,673 points in single-core tests and 5,597 points in multi-core tests. This level of raw processing power makes the Galaxy A77 more comparable to upper-tier devices than typical A-series models.
A new listing on Geekbench further sheds light on the device’s specifications. The phone scored 1,361 points in the OpenCL test, offering an idea of its GPU performance. The benchmark also reveals an octa-core CPU setup with six efficiency cores clocked at 2.0GHz and two high-performance cores running at 2.4GHz.
These details point towards the Galaxy A07 5G being powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, the same chipset used in the Galaxy A06 5G. This suggests that Samsung may be sticking with familiar hardware while focusing on tweaks or refinements elsewhere.
The Galaxy A07 5G has started appearing on official Samsung support pages across multiple regions, indicating its impending launch. Certifications from Nemko and the Bluetooth SIG have further confirmed the device’s existence, with recent tips pointing to a launch either later this month or in early January 2026.
If priced correctly, the Galaxy A07 5G could become an attractive option for buyers looking for basic performance, 5G connectivity, and up-to-date software at a budget price. With its powerful Exynos chipset, long software support, and improved camera capabilities, the Galaxy A07 5G is shaping up to be a formidable contender in the mid-range market.
Samsung’s latest device offers an enticing blend of performance, features, and affordability that is sure to appeal to a wide range of consumers. With its sleek design, long software support, and robust specifications, the Galaxy A07 5G seems poised to become a top choice for those seeking a reliable budget phone with a touch of premium features.
