Revolutionary Helmet Hits The Streets: Yashica And Im Back Unveil Virtusx1 A Cycling Game-Changer

Yashica and I’m Back have teamed up to create the VirtusX1 cycling helmet – a game-changing, camera-equipped bike helmet that’s redefining the urban cycling experience. The latest collaboration brings together the innovative spirit of both brands, marrying cutting-edge technology with traditional safety features.
The VirtusX1 Smart Helmet is more than just a bicycle helmet; it’s an all-in-one system that combines a wide-angle fisheye lens with 2K camera capabilities, wireless connectivity, and built-in audio recording. The result is a tool that not only protects riders but also captures their ride in stunning detail – perfect for urban cyclists, e-bike enthusiasts, and adventure-seekers alike.
The VirtusX1’s impressive features include live video streaming via the I’m Back mobile app, allowing users to view their surroundings in real-time, share videos with friends, or even act as a “dashcam” for added safety. The camera can record 2K/30p or 1080/60p footage and has an integrated speaker for enhanced audio quality. With its sleek design and compact size, the VirtusX1 promises to be an essential accessory for any cyclist looking to document their ride.
In terms of practicality, the helmet supports microSD cards up to 128GB in capacity, ensuring ample storage space for users’ files. The built-in battery offers up to 10 hours of operation when using the helmet’s integrated lights, which can also be controlled via the handlebar-mounted remote. The rear light features a blinking red mode, perfect for alerting other road users.
Safety remains at the forefront of design, with the VirtusX1 meeting European NTA-8776 regulations and standard bike safety standards (EN 1078/CPSC). Comfort is also key, thanks to its form-fitting system with adjustable straps and internal fabric pads – available in two sizes to suit riders from 55 to 63 centimeters in circumference.
At an initial price of $180 on Indiegogo, the VirtusX1 Smart Helmet offers a tantalizing compromise between innovation and affordability. Backers will need to wait until July 2025 for their units to arrive. As with any crowdfunded project, it’s essential to do your own research and exercise caution when considering backing – but if you’re looking for an exciting new way to document your rides, the VirtusX1 might just be worth the wait.
