Flight Modes and Battery Life
The SkyRover X1 offers a range of intelligent flight modes, including QuickShots and Hyperlapse. While these features are impressive, there is one notable omission: waypoint hyperlapse. This feature allows users to create dynamic hyperlapse videos by tracking multiple waypoints, but it’s not currently available on the X1.
In terms of battery life, I was pleased to find that the X1 achieved 27.5 minutes of flight time, which is 86% of the advertised 32 minutes. However, a hover test yielded only 20 minutes, which is lower due to the energy required for hovering.

Additionally, the drone comes only with a basic controller, requiring a mobile device to fly, which may be frustrating for users who prefer a more seamless experience.
On the other hand, the X1 is regulation-friendly, making it an attractive option for those looking to fly drones in areas with strict regulations. It’s also priced lower than the Mini 4 Pro with a coupon, and at under 250 grams, it’s incredibly compact and lightweight.
