Sky Elements Shines Bright with 5,000-Drone Gingerbread Village Holiday Show, Becomes Guinness World Record Holder

The largest drone show company in the U.S., Sky Elements, has set another record-breaking world title for its most recent holiday extravaganza – this time, it’s all about the gingerbread village. Recently, on November 27, Sky Elements presented a combined Thanksgiving/Christmas drone show in Mansfield, Texas, which not only wowed the crowd but also earned them the Guinness World Record title for the largest aerial display of a gingerbread village made out of drones.

The record-breaking feat was made possible by an impressive fleet of 4,981 drones, all working together to create a breathtaking winter wonderland. According to production manager Tyler Kubicz, “We wanted to bring in the holidays with a new drone light show.” The stunning display featured intricate patterns designed by Sky Elements’ graphics team and programmed animations created by their animators.

The scale and complexity of the operation required months of planning and preparation. UVify, the manufacturer of swarm light-show drones, took center stage, equipped with quad-constellation navigation systems, allowing them to fly in perfect synchrony. The IFO crew spent around 40-60 hours of prep work on typical shows, but this display required significantly more time and effort.

To ensure a smooth performance, the crew of about 50 personnel positioned the drones and checked every propeller before taking off. A Guinness World Record adjudicator was present to verify that the show resulted in an authentic record-breaking moment. The Mansfield show marked Sky Elements’ 11th world record performance, solidifying its reputation as a leader in drone technology and entertainment.

The public’s response to the show has been overwhelming, with still images and videos of the performance gaining millions of views on social media. Sky Elements is now gearing up for a busy holiday season of displays across the country, including events near its home base of North Texas, Jacksonville, Florida, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Chicago, Illinois, California, and New Mexico.

“We want to spread holiday cheer in our own way,” said Kubicz. With their impressive record-breaking display, Sky Elements is sure to shine bright this holiday season, filling the skies with a dazzling show of light, color, and music that will leave audiences in awe.
