Dji Unveils Revolutionary Foldable Drone For Aerial Photography

DJI has confirmed its latest creation, the DJI Flip, a sub-250g foldable drone designed to cater to both beginners and professional users. The drone will be available in various combo packages priced between €449-809 ($490-885), making it an attractive option for those seeking a balance between portability and advanced features.

The DJI Flip boasts an impressively compact form factor, measuring just 5.4 × 2.4 × 6.5 inches when folded. Certified by the EU’s C0 certificate, the drone supports multiple global positioning systems (GPS, Galileo, and BeiDou) ensuring seamless navigation in various environments.

At the heart of the DJI Flip lies a 1/1.3-inch sensor coupled with a 24mm equivalent lens (f/1.7 aperture), providing an expansive 82.1° field of view. Key camera features include 4K video at 60fps, full HD recording up to 100fps for slow-motion, vertical shooting modes, and multiple photo options. The drone also supports advanced camera modes like Single Shot, Burst (3/5/7 frames), AEB (3/5/7 frames), time-lapse capabilities, and D-Log M color profile support.

The DJI Flip promises impressive flight characteristics with ascent/descent speeds up to 16.4 ft/s, maximum horizontal speed of 39.4 ft/s in Sport mode, wind resistance up to 23.9 mph (Level 5), and a flight time of up to 31 minutes at constant speed. The drone features advanced obstacle avoidance with front 3D ToF sensor (26ft detection range) and visual and infrared sensors for precise landing.
