DJI Revolutionizes Public Safety and Emergency Response with Launch of Dock 3, a Groundbreaking “Drone in a Box” Solution

Global drone giant DJI has introduced the Dock 3, its latest innovation in “drone in a box” technology. This revolutionary solution enables operators to deploy drones seamlessly in various environments, making it an essential tool for mission-critical operations.

The Dock 3 is designed to work in tandem with DJI’s new Matrice 4D and 4TD drone series, which boast improved flight and protection performance. With its advanced features, the Dock 3 can operate and charge drones in extreme temperatures, including up to 50°C (122°F) and as low as -30°C (-22°F), while withstanding IP56 dust and water resistance.

The dock’s versatility is further enhanced by its ability to support vehicle mounting, allowing operators to take their automation wherever they need to be. This feature enables the deployment of two docks simultaneously on a single vehicle for dual-drone rotations, making it an ideal solution for search and rescue missions or inspections in mountainous areas.

According to Christina Zhang, Senior Director of Corporate Strategy at DJI, “The Dock 3 is designed to deliver innovative and reliable solutions that can flexibly adapt to the needs of operators on the ground.”

One of the key features of the Dock 3 is its ability to operate in a variety of environments, including extreme weather conditions. The dock’s built-in weather station and RTK base station enable it to function accurately even in challenging conditions.

The Dock 3 supports horizontal calibration and cloud-based dock location calibrations, making it easy to deploy and maintain drones in different environments. A new D-RTK 3 Relay Fixed Deployment Version can be added to enhance the dock’s anti-interference performance for video transmission and satellite acquisition.

In terms of camera capabilities, the Dock 3 supports a wide range of cameras, including the Matrice 4D and 4TD drones’ powerful auto-zoom feature. This enables operators to quickly track subjects such as vehicles or vessels, making it an essential tool for search and rescue missions or infrastructure inspections.

The Dock 3 features the DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise remote controller, which offers advanced features and capabilities for mission-critical operations. With its cutting-edge technology and innovative design, the Dock 3 is set to revolutionize public safety and emergency response efforts worldwide.
