Diehl Defence Unveils Enhanced Mobile Counter-UAV System, GARMR, at Enforce Tac 2026

Diehl Defence has relaunched its mobile counter-Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) system, dubbed GARMR, which boasts significant upgrades and improvements over its predecessor. The new system will be showcased at this year’s Enforce Tac taking place from February 23 to 25 in Nürnberg, Germany.

GARMR is a comprehensive, hybrid, modular system designed to provide effective protection against various types of UAV threats. Its name is derived from the watchful eye of Nordic mythology, reflecting its mission to serve as a vigilant guardian against airborne adversaries. The upgraded system incorporates cutting-edge technologies and innovative design elements, solidifying its position at the forefront of mobile drone defense.

One of the key enhancements in GARMR is the integration of new types of interceptor drones, which will significantly boost its combat value. The system’s modular architecture allows for the deployment of two primary interceptor drone technologies: UAVOS Demonstrates New Swarm-Control with UAS Borey Formation and Diehl Defence’s own custom-designed interceptors.

GARMR’s flexibility enables it to operate effectively in diverse environments, ranging from protecting critical civilian infrastructure such as buildings or events to participating in high-intensity military combat scenarios. This adaptability stems from its modular structure, which allows for the seamless integration of various effectors across both short and medium ranges. These effectors can be tailored to address specific threats, including precise, controlled impacts in sensitive civilian environments or performance-optimized defense against complex military threats over extended distances.
