In a significant move to bolster its position as a leader in autonomous defense technologies, Ondas Inc. (Nasdaq: ONDS), a leading provider of advanced autonomous systems and next-generation defense and security solutions, has announced the acquisition of DZYNE Technologies, LLC. The deal is valued at $875.8 million and will strengthen Ondas’ financial profile, adding substantial revenue, positive EBITDA, and expanded operating leverage.
Next year, new regulations in the US defense industry may impact tech companies like Ondas, but the acquisition of DZYNE Technologies is expected to provide a strong foundation for the company’s autonomous defense platform.
The acquisition marks an important milestone in Ondas’ strategic growth program, which aims to build a scaled global operating platform for unmanned and autonomous systems serving the defense, security, and critical infrastructure markets. With this addition, Ondas is now poised to deliver integrated autonomous defense solutions at scale, expanding its technology leadership while strengthening its operating platform and financial profile.
DZYNE Technologies, LLC is a U.S.-based defense technology company recognized for its leadership in long-endurance autonomous aircraft, counter-drone systems, and autonomous effects. The acquisition brings Ondas an operationally mature business with established relationships across the U.S. defense community and allied customers, along with a reputation for moving quickly from prototyping into fielded systems.
The combination of DZYNE’s technology and engineering talent with Ondas’ existing capabilities creates a transformative platform that will strengthen Ondas’ position in multi-domain ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance), counter-UAS, precision strike, autonomous effects, aerial security, and AI-enabled mission orchestration. This expanded portfolio is expected to enable Ondas to engage customers across more mission areas, pursue larger programs, and help operators see more, decide faster, and act with confidence.
To integrate DZYNE into its growing U.S. portfolio of autonomous defense technologies, Ondas has formed a new operating division called Ondas Sentinel. This division will unite World View and DZYNE under one umbrella, combining persistent ISR, counter-UAS, autonomous effects, and mission intelligence capabilities into a scalable organization built to support larger, more integrated defense programs.
Ryan Hartman, CEO of World View, will serve as CEO of Ondas Sentinel, while Matt McCue, co-founder and CTO of DZYNE, will become Chief Technology Officer. Together, they will lead the integration of the businesses and accelerate Ondas’ strategy to deliver integrated autonomous defense solutions at scale.
The acquisition of DZYNE brings Ondas an operationally mature business with a strong reputation for delivering long-endurance ISR capabilities. DZYNE’s ULTRA (Unmanned Long-Endurance Reconnaissance Tactical Aircraft) is a pioneering platform that has demonstrated its value in providing persistent sensing, communications relay, and strategic intelligence capabilities from the stratosphere.
ULTRA pairs high-altitude, long-endurance flight with advanced sensors and communications systems to provide real-time situational awareness and command and control capability. With tens of thousands of operational flight hours, ULTRA offers proven persistence in distributed operations, border security, maritime awareness, and resilient communications – strengthening Ondas’ position in persistent intelligence.
The acquisition also significantly expands Ondas’ capabilities in counter-UAS, precision strike, and autonomous effects. DZYNE’s IonStrike is a fully kinetic, autonomous interceptor designed to detect, track, and physically defeat hostile drones in flight. Purpose-built to counter emerging aerial threats such as the Shahed-136 class of one-way attack drones, IonStrike delivers scalable, low-cost interception at the point of engagement.
Additionally, DZYNE’s portfolio includes the Blitz autonomous Group 1 UAS and Grasshopper autonomous cargo glider, which pair long-range autonomy with expendable economics and modular architecture to deliver a highly scalable platform aligned with the U.S. Department of War’s focus on affordable mass and autonomous effects.
The acquisition is valued at $875.8 million and was financed through a cash and stock structure intended to align the incentives of DZYNE management and investors with Ondas’ stockholders. The deal significantly strengthens Ondas’ financial profile, adding substantial revenue, positive EBITDA, and expanded operating leverage.
Ondas now targets at least $525 million in revenue for 2026, significantly ahead of its previous target of at least $390 million. With this expanded portfolio, Ondas is poised to deliver growth driven by strong adoption of both the ULTRA platform for long-endurance ISR applications and the kinetic interceptor solution, IonStrike.
