Germanium Mining Unveils Groundbreaking Survey Efforts At Lac Du Km 35 Property

Germanium Mining Takes Next Step in Exploration Efforts at Lac du Km 35 Property in Québec, Canada

In a significant development, Germanium Mining has completed a Time Domain Electromagnetic (TDEM) ground survey and initiated an airborne magnetic survey at its wholly owned Lac du Km 35 property in Québec, Canada. Located approximately 40 kilometers east of Chibougamau in the Nord-du-Québec region, this project marks an exciting milestone in the company’s quest to discover new deposits of germanium, silver, and zinc.

The TDEM survey covered a 1,400m × 1,400m area, including a cluster of historic anomalies and the Laganière showing, a previously discovered area that has yielded promising results. This initial phase of exploration is expected to provide valuable insights into the geology of the property and identify potential areas for further investigation.

Germanium Mining’s goal is to map both known and potential new conductors that could indicate the presence of germanium-silver and zinc mineralization. The company’s team has carefully selected this site, leveraging their knowledge of the region’s geological history and the presence of key features such as the Faribault Shear Zone and the Grenville Front.

The final results of the airborne magnetic survey are anticipated to be released by mid-July 2026. These findings will be evaluated in conjunction with a planned outcrop mapping and sampling program, which aims to provide more accurate data on the property’s geology and identify areas for further exploration.

One of the most promising areas of focus is the Laganière showing, discovered in 1998 by government geologists. This outcrop has returned sample results with roughly 0.02% or 186 parts per million (ppm) germanium, indicating a significant concentration of this critical metal. The company plans to map, sample, and assay the immediate area around the Laganière showing to inform diamond drill targets for early 2027.

The proposed first phase of diamond drilling is expected to involve six to ten holes covering a total distance of approximately 2,500m. This ambitious plan demonstrates Germanium Mining’s commitment to exploring this property thoroughly and uncovering its full potential.

Exploration efforts will focus on the area between the Faribault Shear Zone and the Laganière showing, where untested electromagnetic anomalies have been identified. The company believes that this region holds significant promise for discovering new deposits of germanium, silver, and zinc.

“We have strategically expanded our 100%-owned Lac du Km 35 Germanium property ahead of the active 2026 exploration season to allow for potential additional discoveries contiguous to the north of the Laganière showing,” stated Mario Pezzente, CEO of Germanium Mining. “We are excited to receive shortly TDEM survey results with a goal of outlining new conductors in the vicinity of the Laganière germanium showing on this highly prospective critical metal project.”

In April, the company completed the initial phase of a previously announced non-brokered private placement to finance its 2026 exploration initiatives at the Lac Du Km 35 property. This funding will enable Germanium Mining to pursue its ambitious exploration program and unlock the full potential of this promising project.

The discovery of germanium is particularly significant, as it is a critical metal with numerous applications in modern technology, including solar panels, semiconductors, and medical devices. The global demand for germanium is increasing, driven by the growth of these industries, making it an attractive target for mining companies.

As the exploration program continues, Germanium Mining will provide regular updates on its progress, including the results of the airborne magnetic survey and any new findings from the diamond drilling program. The company’s commitment to transparency and communication ensures that investors and stakeholders are informed about the latest developments in this exciting project.
